The Hilltop - Chardonnay
Planted 1980
This Chardonnay block, planted in 1980, consists of approximately 4 acres (2,100 vines) at 2,100 feet elevation. The rootstock is AXR-1 certified, Robert Young Clone purchased from Sonoma grapevines and spaced at 7 x 12. The vineyard is cane pruned and leafed pulled shortly after berry set. The vineyard is drip irrigated and fertigated. The site was ripped and fumigated before planting
